Gifts at christmas

 In Japan it is very normal to give gifts in each of its festivities in New Year's and Christmas are no exception, then we will tell how the tradition of giving gifts arose in these December dates, since it has a great history. Christmas is also celebrated in Japan by exchanging members and friends. But something very curious is that this tradition came to Japan until 1906. Children are given money in this exchange as well. What happened was that in that year a story appeared in the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper saying that the army had distributed various gifts, such as food and clothing, to many needy people during the month of December. This news went viral and shocked the entire country. This is how the culture of giving gifts on Christmas day came about in Japan.
