Christmas Story in Japan

Although Japan does not celebrate Christmas like in other countries, over the decades it has been adopting the tradition.This is because their main religions are Buddhism and Shintoism. For which its celebration is taken as external becouse it is influenced by other cultures. 

The celebration began after the Second World War due to the influence of other countries. Where the custom of givin gifts among family and frieds comes from America. But the Japanese began to merge it with their customs in the same way.

The Japanese tradition has a Buddhist monk "Hotei-oshoa" is one of the seven gods of good luck that have a resemblance to Santa Claus this god gives gifts to all children who have been good throughout the year.
